Kathleen (Helsley) Stilwell, 92, of Boonville, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Evansville surrounded by her family.
Kathleen was born in Somerville, Indiana on August 17, 1925 to Isaac and Nellie (Thompson) Helsley. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to many. She enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with the many friends that she had made throughout her lifetime. She loved to watch her grandchildren take part in sports and other activities and rarely missed an event. Kathleen also loved animals, especially her rescue dog, Monday. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Helsley; and beloved husband of 42 years, Ermiel "Paddles" Stilwell.

Kathleen is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Ruth) Stilwell of Evansville, IN; daughter, Karen (Mark Krantz) Shigley of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Chris (Amber) Shigley, Craig (Kashmir) Shigley, Katie (Justin) Provines, and Nathan (Amanda) Stilwell; great-grandchildren, Archer, Sawyer, Isabele, Jensen, Mason, Eli, Remi, Landon, and Dustin; her sister, Imolee June Buck of Buckskin, IN; sister-in-law, Retta Gentry of Somerville, IN, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Bradley's Colonial Chapel. 1005 E. Main St, Boonville, IN 47601 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time. Interment at Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville, IN. Contributions in Kathleen's memory can be made to PAAWS No-Kill Animal Rescue or Stilwell Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.bradleyscc.com.
